Across four busy days, the show brought together mechanics, workshops, fleet operators, business owners, suppliers and decision-makers from throughout the road transport sector. For Myriad, it provided much more than an opportunity to display products. It created valuable conversations about how transport refrigeration is changing, the challenges customers face, and how suppliers can provide better support.
Karol Smoter joined Daniel Sandell, Jimmy Björkman, Stefan Sandell and the Myriad Parts Sweden team at the event.
Daniel is the owner of JDK Trading, the official Myriad Parts franchisor in Sweden. Through JDK Trading, Daniel and his team represent, run and operate Myriad Parts Sweden, combining local market experience with access to Myriad’s wider transport refrigeration parts range, technical knowledge and industry support.
One of Karol’s biggest takeaways from the show was seeing first-hand how differently customers and businesses can approach purchasing decisions and technical challenges from one market to another.
Working alongside Daniel, Jimmy and Stefan gave him the opportunity to draw on their many years of experience within the Swedish truck and trailer industry.
“Being among individuals like Daniel, Jimmy and Stefan, with their many years of experience in the truck and trailer industry, really opened my eyes to how differently each country approaches purchasing decisions and solving technical problems.”
What stood out most was the way the Swedish team approaches the market.
For them, supporting customers is not simply about selling a replacement part. It is about understanding what the customer is trying to achieve, identifying gaps, helping solve problems and supporting them throughout their transport refrigeration journey.
Karol described Team Sweden’s approach as a strong example of partnership, knowledge and customer-first thinking.
For Daniel, one of the most valuable aspects of Elmia Lastbil was the range of people the team was able to speak with.
Conversations ranged from mechanics working hands-on with transport refrigeration units every day to fleet operators, business owners and other decision-makers responsible for keeping vehicles and refrigeration equipment operational.
Those discussions gave the team useful insight into the different challenges involved in keeping TRUs running and on the road.
They also raised new ideas around how Myriad Parts Sweden can continue supporting the market through improved parts availability, technical training and greater knowledge sharing.
“It was particularly encouraging to hear how much our parts availability is appreciated, and the discussions gave us useful input on how we can continue developing our offering to better support workshops and operators in the future.”
Parts availability remains a particularly important part of that support.
When a transport refrigeration unit is off the road waiting for a component, the impact can extend well beyond the workshop. Access to the right parts, backed by product knowledge and technical support, can make a meaningful difference to repair times and fleet availability.
Elmia Lastbil also demonstrated the value of combining local expertise with experience from across the wider Myriad business.
Daniel highlighted the contribution Karol made during the four days, particularly during technical and industry conversations with customers and the Swedish team.
With many years of transport refrigeration experience, Karol was able to bring additional knowledge and perspective to discussions taking place on the stand.
For Myriad, this exchange of experience works both ways.
The Swedish team brings deep knowledge of its own market, customers and working practices, while the wider Myriad network contributes decades of transport refrigeration product and technical experience.
Bringing those perspectives together helps everyone understand customers better.
Events such as Elmia Lastbil are valuable because they create opportunities that are difficult to reproduce through emails, telephone calls or online meetings.
They allow suppliers to listen directly to mechanics, workshops and fleet operators.
They reveal which parts are difficult to source, which technical challenges repeatedly appear in workshops, and where customers feel more support is needed.
Most importantly, they provide the conversations that can lead to better availability, stronger technical support, improved training and new solutions.
For Myriad Parts Sweden, Elmia Lastbil 2026 was therefore about much more than exhibiting.
It was an opportunity to learn, exchange knowledge, strengthen relationships and better understand how Myriad can continue supporting the Swedish transport refrigeration market.
A big thank you to everyone who visited the stand throughout the four days.
And a special thank you to Daniel, Jimmy, Stefan and the wider Swedish team for representing Myriad and continuing to build a customer-focused transport refrigeration parts business in Sweden.
Well done, Team Sweden.
