Myriad Parts at the TCS&D Awards 2024: Continuing to Make an Impact in Transport Refrigeration

Myriad Parts proudly sponsors the 2024 TCS&D Awards, celebrating excellence in transport refrigeration and recognising service innovation across the industry.

The TCS&D Awards 2024, held on 9th October at the prestigious National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, once again celebrated excellence in the cold chain and temperature-controlled logistics industry. With the growing importance of innovation and service within the transport refrigeration sector, these awards highlight the best in the business, showcasing their commitment to advancing the industry. This year, Myriad Parts proudly continued its support by sponsoring the Transport Refrigeration Service Provider of the Year category.

Why Myriad Parts Supports the TCS&D Awards

For Myriad Parts, the TCS&D Awards provide a platform for marketing and visibility within the transport refrigeration industry. Having been one of the first small independent businesses to participate in these awards a few years ago, the exposure has helped Myriad Parts grow its international reputation significantly. As Operations Director Karol Smoter shared, the company’s participation in this event has created an image of "officialness" among customers, suppliers and competitors alike, giving Myriad Parts a foothold in an industry dominated by larger OEM players.

Sponsoring the "Transport Refrigeration Service Provider of the Year"

In the 2024 edition, Myriad Parts once again sponsored the Transport Refrigeration Service Provider of the Year category. This prestigious award is given to independent transport refrigeration dealers across the UK, recognising outstanding customer service and innovation. By sponsoring this award, Myriad Parts strengthens its association with excellence in the sector. Karol Smoter proudly recalls how, in 2019, Myriad was privileged to present this prestigious award to Scott Dargan, Managing Director of Carrier Transicold UK, one of the very biggest names in the industry….and the moment was recreated again this year (2024) when Carrier Transicold Glasgow, excellently represented by James Hogg Refrigeration for over 25 years, was the well-deserved recipient of the award.

What This Award Means for the Industry

The Transport Refrigeration Service Provider of the Year award is critical for the sector as it highlights the levels of service provided by leading companies. It showcases the innovation and quality standards that other service providers strive to meet, especially in a time when AI-driven advancements and customer loyalty are reshaping the competitive landscape. The future of refrigerated transport services will depend on providers that continue to raise the bar in customer service and technology.

Myriad Parts’ Presence at the Event

Representing Myriad at the event this year was Operations Director Karol Smoter and his wife, Kate Smoter. While Myriad Parts did not display any products this year, Karol and Business Development Manager Callum Sherin took the opportunity to network with key industry players, sharing insights and staying connected with peers in the field.

The Impact of Myriad’s Sponsorship

For Myriad Parts, sponsoring the Transport Refrigeration Service Provider of the Year category is about more than just visibility. It provides the company with a unique opportunity to associate itself with leading names in the industry while reaffirming its commitment to providing value as an industry leader in both new and re-manufactured parts. Though Myriad is a smaller player in comparison to the large OEMs, its reputation for delivering quality aftermarket solutions continues to grow, supported by its ongoing involvement in events like the TCS&D Awards.

Looking Ahead

While plans for future sponsorship are yet to be confirmed, Myriad Parts is already looking ahead to continuing its role in supporting innovation within the refrigerated transport industry. As a key supplier of value-for-money parts and with a growing international presence, Myriad Parts is set to remain a strong player in the industry, even as new technologies and services evolve.
