How to Identify the Correct Micro Board for Carrier® Xarios® and Integra® Units

Identify the correct micro board for Carrier Xarios and Integra units to ensure compatibility and serviceability when sourcing re-manufactured parts.

Carrier’s Xarios® and Integra® units have undergone several hardware revisions over the years—particularly when it comes to micro boards. While brand-new boards always ship with the latest specification, identifying the correct version becomes crucial when selecting re-manufactured (re-man) units to ensure compatibility and ongoing serviceability.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to recognise the correct Micro Board (Microprocessor Control Board) for your application, whether you’re working with single-temp or multi-temp systems.

Why It Matters

When choosing a new micro board, there’s no need to worry—you're receiving the latest version by default. However, if you opt for a re-manufactured board, it’s essential to match your existing unit’s version. This ensures:

  • Proper fit and function
  • Ongoing service support
  • Stock availability for future replacements

MPN0514 – Single-Temperature Micro Boards

This is the most common board used in single-temperature Xarios® and Integra® systems. Carrier® has released three distinct versions over time, each easily identified by their part number and physical appearance.

Quick Visual Guide

If you're in a rush, the quickest way to identify the board version is:

  • Ribs halfway across the top = Version A
  • No ribs = Version B
  • Black body + no ribs = Version C

Make sure to check the part number printed on the board to confirm compatibility, especially when sourcing re-manufactured units.
